National Institute for Science and Civic Engagement

The National Institute for Science and Civic Engagement is an independent non-profit (501c3) formed as a research, program development, and dissemination arm of the National Center for Science and Civic Engagement.  Its mission is to develop educational research, professional development opportunities for educators and administrators, and convening opportunities for national leaders in STEM education. In support of that mission it will aid in the creation and dissemination of new knowledge and evidence-based practices, development of planning for STEM reform initiatives, and  academic and public programming that empowers citizens as responsible, lifelong learners who can apply the knowledge, values, and methods of science to the complex civic challenges facing our democracy.
