Claire McInerney, Senior Research Fellow

Claire is an associate professor at Rutgers University’s School of Communication, Information and Library Studies (SCILS) and the current director of the Information Technology and Informatics program at SCILS. She provides leadership for the Controlled Vocabularies Project of the SENCER Digital Library Program initiative. Claire brings a wealth of experience to the center through her research in the areas of creation, sharing, and transfer of knowledge in organizations and in the workplace. She has many publications and presentations to her credit. Her most recent book is Rethinking Knowledge Management: From Knowledge Objects to Knowledge Processes, published in 2007 by Springer Verlag. Claire will be assisted by an enthusiastic team of graduate and undergraduate students from SCILS, including graduate student Krista White and undergraduates Kerri Hueftle and Melody Townley (by anthony).  The Controlled Vocabularies Project team will develop a systematic method to categorize documents and other content related to SENCER’s work and make the information more accessible to users through search engines.
