You are invited to join us at the March 1-2, 2025 “Sustainability and Climate Change Across the Curriculum” workshop arranged in a collaboration between SENCER Hawaiʻi, SENCER Center for Innovation West, and AASHE Hawaiʻi hosted with support from University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoaʻs College of Social Sciences.With ongoing and increasing climate change issues and research, the workshop is designed to inspire faculty and instructors (including graduate students) to integrate social, economic, and environmental sustainability into undergraduate education, emphasizing indigenous and community engagement methodologies.We bring together educators from all academic disciplines to work collaboratively to introduce and enhance sustainability content in new and existing courses across the curriculum. 

On Day 1, nationally recognized scholars in the fields of climate change, sustainability, and indigenous epistemologies will deliver keynotes and lead interactive sessions. On Day 2, a field activityoffers an opportunity to learn about the native forest restoration and practices of land stewardship from Native Hawaiian community leaders.

Dates: March 1-2, 2025.
Place: University of Hawaiʻi- Mānoa Campus Gartley Hall 103 and Dean Hall 6 (neighboring buildings). 

The registration deadline is January 31, but we will keep the registration open another week for you to take advantage of this opportunity. 

The registration fee is $250 per person. The fee covers a light breakfast, lunch, and refreshments on Day 1 as well as transportation and refreshments on Day 2. It is possible to request a waiver of the registration fee.
