Earlier this month, Dr. Rita Kranidis, professor of English and director of the Global Humanities Institute at Montgomery College, spoke at the National Endowment for the Humanities Initiatives (GHI) at Presidentially Designated Institutions Project Directors’ Meeting. The establishment of the Global Humanities Institute was facilitated by a grant from NEH in 2012, and since then, Dr. Kranidis has developed a faculty fellowship program, forming international collaborations, and launched new courses at Montgomery College. Dr. Kranidis has also been a leader in the SENCER community, serving as a Leadership Fellow and leading programming on collaborations between STEM and the humanities with a global focus.
