Founded in 2008, the SENCER Leadership Fellows program recognizes members of the SENCER community interested in taking on more advanced involvement through formal roles in the project. Leadership Fellows are appointed for 18-month, renewable terms, and work on projects of their own design. Fellow projects have included course design, faculty development, research into student learning, and initiatives to assist other members of the SENCER community in their professional development. Fellows also contribute to the overall direction of the SENCER initiative.

The goals for the Leadership Fellows program are five-fold. We seek to (1) recognize the leadership of those who have made reforms into campus realities, (2) broaden the impact of individual SENCER activities on campus, (3) apply what has been learned to new challenges, (4) create regional and, where desired, issue-specific organizations to nurture the expanding community of practice that SENCER has helped to foster, and (5) plan for sustaining and continually refreshing the SENCER Ideals and national program over the long term.

Applications and nominations to the Fellows program are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. You can access the application form here. Applications are due July 1, 2016, in time for the next Board review.

If you are interested in nominating a colleague to become a Fellow, please use this form this form by June 1, 2016.
