People

NCSCE is currently an all-volunteer network of educators committed to the idea that “science education is civic education.” Through professional development for faculty and informal educators, grant funded initiatives, and strategic partnerships with STEM improvement and educational advocacy organizations, the NCSCE community continues to expand our “community of transformation” in STEM reform.

Directors

Directors function as key staff supporting the administration, program development, and operations of NCSCE.

SENCER Ambassadors

SENCER Ambassadors, Scholars, and Diplomats constitute the core leadership body of this national network of over 5,000 participants and they serve as advocates for civically engaged science in their communities, and institutions, at national conferences and professional meetings. Ambassadors have committed to advancing SENCER’s inclusive and evidence-based curricular strategies in their institutions and professional networks. Scholars provide new research about the effectiveness of SENCER strategies. Diplomats are SENCER leaders whose work advances SENCER ideals and strategies outside the United States. All use their expertise to support the national organization through workshops, symposia, conferences, and mentoring.
