AAAS Hosts Discussions Linking Science and Human Rights

NCSCE’s executive director, Eliza Reilly, was featured during a panel discussion with Myles Boylan (NSF), Glenn Mitoma (University of Connecticut), and Sara Tolbert (University of Arizona) during the recent AAAS Science and Human Rights Coalition meeting. She discussed the effectiveness of context-based learning in developing students’ ability to address societal challenges. Rush Holt, AAAS CEO, noted the contributions science can make to advancement of human rights and vice versa.
