As of Friday, October 5th, Kyle Simmons, NCSCE’s Faculty Development Events Manager, will be leaving the National Center. Kyle will be taking a position at the Columbia Business School in the Executive Education department.
In his time at NCSCE, Kyle managed five SENCER Summer Institutes at different institutions, and led the organization and implementation of all of our other national meetings since joining the National Center in 2013. Kyle came to the NCSCE with substantial and comprehensive meeting management experience as well as a background working with organizations committed to civic engagement. He did an impeccable job running, and expanding, our portfolio of professional development meetings. In addition, however, Kyle took full advantage of our very accomplished community of professionals and experts to add to his skills in meeting facilitation, fundraising, grants management, and crafting customized programs for our diverse constituency of educators. He did all of this with grace, humor, and enthusiasm. Kyle is the kind of creative critical thinker and problem-solver that SENCER programs are designed to nurture and we know that as he moves on in his career he will always be a valued member of the NCSCE community.
I know you will join the NCSCE staff and leadership in wishing Kyle continued success in his move to New York City and his great new job. He can be reached at KyleDavidSimmons(at)gmail.com.
